Position:              Heavy Diesel Mechanic | Equipment Technician
Description: Diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance
Locations:            North Island
Payrate: from $27/hour depending on experience

Position:              Heavy Diesel Mechanic | Equipment Technician (Forestry and Construction Equipment)
Description: On-site diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance work on customer Forestry & Construction equipment
Locations:           Whangarei, Rotorua and Hawkes Bay

Position: Heavy Diesel Mechanic | Equipment Technician (Forestry, Construction and Agricultural Equipment)
Description: On-site diagnostics, servicing, repairs & maintenance work on customer Forestry & Construction equipment and provide services to Agricultural customers
Locations:           Pukekohe, Silverdale, Hamilton and Cambridge

Payrate: from $34/hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Independently perform on-site diagnostics, servicing, repairs and maintenance work on Customer Forestry & Construction equipment

  • May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers

  • May establish and implement effective stocking processes

  • Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and similar machinery

  • Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment

  • May require some direction or guidance from the Technical Product Support Specialist or Product and Aftermarket Manager

  • May supervise apprentices (as/when required)

  • Reports to Construction and Forestry Product & Aftermarket Manager

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Qualified Technician with 5+ years of experience performing Heavy Equipment service and repairs

  • Utilise specialty tooling and equipment and following Technical Manual procedures

  • Ability to diagnose and remedy faults & proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of Forestry and Construction equipment

  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes

  • Ability to use basic computer functions & Proficient oral and written communication skills

  • Valid driver’s license required & forklift license preferred
