Diesel Mechanic – Job In New Zealand
Job Overview:
Job Title: Diesel Mechanic – HGV, Earthmoving, Telehandlers
Location: Nationwide, New Zealand
Position: Full Time
Wage Rate: $30 – $40 starting rate, with scope to improve alongside experience.
Start Date: 2025 -2026
Your Responsibilities:

Diagnosing issues
-
Repairing, testing and fine-tuning diesel engines

Disassembling and reassembling engine components
-
Conducting routine maintenance and servicing
Required Qualifications:
-
4 years’ experience as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent
-
Buses, 18 Wheeler and other large diesel vehicles
-
Relevant NZ qualifications or similar overseas TQ

Skills and practical knowledge on welding

Knowledge and familiarity with all standard plant and equipment used on construction site

Diagnostic source of breakdown on equipment (mechanic, hydraulic, pneumatic)
